A visit from Grandpa and Grandma

Brannon's parents were able to come over this weekend to spend some time. The girls couldn't wait for them to get here!! They played games with the girls for hours and watched the NFL Draft with Brannon. We also spent the weekend rodatilling the garden again, pulling weeds, moving raspberries and edging the lawn!! I also went to my friends baby's funeral. She was still born at 9 months and it is a heart breaking thing for my dear friend. We pray for her and her family at this difficult time and know the Lord can and will comfort them.

Scooter Time!

Last fall we bought Brannon a scooter to commute to work on when the gas prices were so bad. He loves it, and it is finally warming up enough to start riding it!! Addie loves this thing. She begs for rides and would spend hours going around the block if we would let her. She finds her helmet and sunglasses then harasses Brannon until he takes her for a ride!! Maisie not so much. They were just so cute!

Happy Birthday Brannon

Brannon hates his birthday!! He hates getting older. He really thought I wasn't funny with this 3 and 5 candles thing either!! He wanted strawberry pie for the big day. I even made it myself. We celebrated on Easter day actually. Busy weekend!!

Easter

I'm slacking I know. But finally my camera, me and the computer are all in the same room and I have a little time to get something done. Easter was quite this year, Brannon's parents were going to come but they got sick so they came a different weekend. We decorated eggs, cookies, went to our ward Easter party. We also went to a local nursery for an egg hunt. The girls had a ball!! They even got Cotton candy for free. Addie did not know what to think of the stuff. We did a "fake" Easter egg hunt for the girls in the back yard. Funny how much they loved that. And here is a picture of the dresses I made them this year. Needed to keep things simple, or I wasn't going to be able to get them done. Over all a great holiday and we all had a lot of fun! Wish we had family close by though to enjoy it with!!

Daady is finally home!!

Bran got home this weekend from being in Arkansas for 2 weeks. I am way out of practise at having him gone. The girls and I went to the airport to get him and then of course daddy was in charge of everything bedtime related the rest of the evening. I was useless as far as they were concerned!! Sounds like they were sick of me or something!! He was so patient, even though he had had about 3 hours of sleep the night before, he did storey, teeth, PJ's and snuggled them into bed. The girls are so excited to have him home!! So is the Mommy!

School Assembly

I went to Maisie's 3rd quarter academic assembly on Tuesday. She was awarded top 5 in her class. Not necessarily for grades but for how hard she has been working lately. She wore her BDU dress. She was very afraid people would laugh at her because only boys wear camo. I told her she was way wrong and nobody teased her so I was right! Maisie has been struggling in school and we are happy she is starting a after school reading program tomorrow!! We hope this will help get her back on track with reading. She tries so hard and it is so hard for her so we hope this will be a help. We are so proud of her and the many things she accomplishes. She is still my sweet little girl, just with a little extra sass lately.
