Addie Had Surgery!

Well Addie had her surgery on Thursday. This is the first chance I have had to sit down at the computer without a little body with me. It went ok. It took 45 min longer than they thought it would so that was nerve racking waiting! She was whimpering so sadly when they brought her out, and she had a little oxygen mask on. They had to keep giving her Morphine to help until she woke up enough to take Loratab. It was so hard to see her in so much pain. Nurse finally let me sit and holder while she finished waking up. Took her a little longer than normal to do it and she had to stay on oxygen the entire time. Dr came and spoke with us. He said her tonsils were HUGE. He thought maybe she had grown a third one and that that might have been some of the problem. There wasn't. He asked if she had sleep abnia, and told us she probably did and that we can expect her to sleep better from now on!!! WAHU! So we got to take her home the first day which was great because we were in the hospital for 3 days with Maisies tonsils. She is doing ok. Hard to get her to drink, hates taking her meds and we have to use a syringe to squirt liquid down her most of the time to prevent dehydration. First night was rough. Last night was better. Hoping she goes to her bed tonight. Crappy way to spend her birthday though. Going to go make her a cake soon! You should hear the funny things this little drugged girl says. This am it was Daddy has a big nose, Daddy has a big head....... glazed eyes and fell back to sleep.

Broken Brain

I have an odd way of doing things I know. I can't do certain things until certain others are done first. The order may not make since to most but it is the way my brain works. If I don't do it a certain way I just end up with unfinished projects and a mess. So having said that, one of my need to do is move the girls into the quest room. I can't begin to gut the guest room/craft room until I have found bedding that I like for the girls. I can't deal with to many rooms torn up at once. And since I am going to paint once I have the room empty the bedding is a must so I know what to paint. Keeping up....

Well I finally found the bedding!! It had to be something fun and colorful, something the girls would like but not be to little girlish so it could stay in their room for awhile, and of course affordable. Have a baby on the way you know. I finally found duvet covers at Bed Bath and Beyond on Saturday and I am so excited! The girls love it, its fun, old enough, and was on clearance!!!! So now I just have to decide how to paint the room and I can start gutting the spare room!! And to top it all off, some very sweet YW from my ward heard I was going to be doing some painting and stopped by Sunday to offer their help!!! O ya! Life is good.

And to top everything off I finally found the fabrics I like for a blanket for baby boys nursery! I already know what I want to do paint wise in his room but I can't do that until the girls room is done and they are moved into it. That funny brain thing again.

So as you can read things are finally falling into place to get some things done around here! But for now I need to get off the computer to run my errands, and get home so I can get my garden planted!

No joke!

From my previous post you can tell I have been a little stressed out about getting some things done with Addie. Well I love this girl. Taking the binky away has been fine, she hasn't asked for it once. Naps are still a pot shot but that's ok. She is pretty sweet even when she is tired. On Tuesday she put on panties and has been wearing them ever since with only 2 accidents. Even to church and out shopping!! I can't believe she did it all by herself. She has even been in bed and called for us that she needs to go, and she has, not just a get out of bed tactic! Then... yesterday she was literally falling asleep on the potty so Bran took her upstairs to take a nap, she asks to sleep in Maisie's bed. Brannon put her in their thinking she would never stay let alone actually fall asleep. Well she did, took the first nap all week and stayed in the bed. Then she asked to sleep in the bed last night we thought what the heck give it a try. She stayed in bed and went to sleep!!! I love it when my kids are easy and just do things themselves!!! So Maisie is now in the guest room until we get the bunk beds bought and up.. She loves that and we are going to roll with Addie in Maisie's bed to see how it goes!! This is 3 huge stresses for me maybe done with!!!! Ya for answered prayers! I really have such sweet kids! Who are way to easy most of the time. Not that I am complaining!

Lists

I have lists for everything. No joke, my Mother taught me well. One of the lists is a to do before baby comes list and it is scaring the snot out of me. It includes painting 3 different rooms, moving and combing both girls bedrooms, sewing a nursery up, potty training, moving Addie out of the crib, getting rid of Addie's binky, spring clean house, get a garden in, yard sale, paint a dresser, move spare room to new room....etc..... Every time I look at it I want to crawl in bed. And I just don't have the get up and go I need.

We did however begin one of these items. We took Addie's binky away on Monday. Fell asleep OK but woke up several times and ended up in bed with us... AKA no sleep for me. Last night went beautifully. But.... she won't take naps now! I don't know what to do. Any suggestions. She is currently in her crib laughing her head off about something! On an exciting note, she has been going potty in the toilet 3-4 times a day lately... lets hope for more soon!

Addie is scheduled to have her tonsils out a week from tomorrow. 2 days before her birthday. Kind of brutal but I'm hoping she won't remember that for long. They keep warning us she is going to be a sick little girl for a few days. We still remember Maisie's tonsil surgery. I hope we're ready.

Diapers Diapers Diapers!

My ward enrichment had a money saving class a few weeks ago and we talked about cloth diapers. There was surprisingly a lot of interest in them and now a group of gals are wanting to get some made. Since I make all mine now and have the things to do them my friend Michelle and I are going to be making upwards of 70 diapers over the next little while!! It is so fun to see others loving cloth diapering as much as I do!! So this weekend I have spend hours on the computer looking for the best prices to buy all the fabrics needed to make them and wow what a chore!! I think I almost have it all figured out now and can't wait tell it all gets here!

Brannon had drill this weekend and also had to go to a Military Ball in Twin Falls tonight. Loads of fun for him so we haven't and won't see him much this weekend.

The best part of my weekend is my friend Heidi from Pocatello was over. Her son Trayton was at State Little Guy wrestling! The girls and I went Friday night to watch him and for a little while today. Boden stayed with us for the day and showed Maisie how to play all kinds of new games on the computer!! She has the cutest boys. They are so loving and well mannered!! I miss their whole family and love when we get to spend time together, even if its not all that much!! Heidi and Jason will always be some of our best friends, and Heidi is truly a kindred spirit for me and I love her dearly! FYI, she is pregnant to.. bit of an ups but I couldn't be more excited!! She is 17 weeks and will find out what she is having in a few more weeks!!

Addie went potty 2 times today!! She told me at the restaurant and after her bath that she needed to go and she did!!! I hope this lasts!! Ready for her to be potty trained!!!

Addie went to an Ear/nose/throat specialist this week and will be getting her tonsils out as soon as our insurance approves it all. We're glad they are coming out because we know she will be healthier this way but I totally dread the experience. I hate seeing my babies hurt and this is going to be a dussy of a hurt!

I am officially rambling and need to go to bed. Hope everyone is doing well!
