Hopital Time

Well as fun as the reunion was, coming home was not! We all came home with the flu and proceeded to puke at varying intervals, and all together one awful night! Addie, Maisie and I all had sinus infections. Addie had been sick for almost 2 weeks, and we had had her into the doctor, 3 times when they finally admitted her to the hospital. She was just to dehydrated to get caught back up on her fluids. Come to find out she also had a bladder infection. ouch! She lost 4 lbs is 3 days and was scaring me with all her laying around. She wouldn't do anything. So we spent 3 long days and 2 even longer nights at our wonderful (snort) local hospital. The hot pink and purple thing on her arm is the way they secure the iv. She tried to take me out a few times with it, just to let me know she was not happy about being there! Addie is doing tons better now and is back to getting into everything she can reach. By the way all those at the reunion who offered to take Maisie for us, we may take you up on that!!! She is wearing me out! If you have never had a baby in a hospital, thank heaven, it sucks and it's horrible to see your baby poked and prodded! We were so grateful to get Addie home. It has been a long month!! But we are off to MT soon and can not wait to see my parents and have some down time!!

Family Reunion

We had a great time at our family reunion this year! We enjoyed staying in a huge beautiful house and spending tons of time with family. We even discovered a new game we love. Killer Bunnies, don't laugh, it really is a great game!! We went to Bridal Falls, Strawberry Days Rodeo, On a hike, to Sundance for suckers, we even had a luah! Lots to cover but pretty much everyone who reads this was there!

4th Of July

We enjoyed the 4th with a fun group of friend this year. We had a bbq and then did fireworks in the driveway with all the kids! Addie did not love them this year! But to be fair, she was still not feeling to hot! I made really cute dresses for the girls out of Brannons old dessert BDU uniforms. I discovered while doing this I don't have any pictures!! LOL I will get one and post it soon.

Drill With Dad!

While Brannon was doing his Annual Training this year, he had the "unique" lol opportunity to show the employers of Idaho National Guard soldier's, what they do when they come to Gowen Field to train. Brannon called it a Dog and Pony Show.. Anyway, Brannon was in charge of showing them the Humvee simulator. Because the Humvees are so top heavy they like to roll over a lot, so the simulator, simulates a Humvee rolling over so the soldiers can practice getting out of an upside down vehicle. It is actually pretty funny, the employers wanted to do it, but alas that would be a safety hazard. Although I think taking them for a ride in the Blackhoks was a bit more of a hazard. Whatever!! The girls and I went into Boise to watch Brannon do the "show" for a few hours since we hadn't seen him in over a week. They loved it, Addie wouldn't let Bran out of her sights! Boy was she upset when we left!! We also got to go into a Tank simulator, very cramped, I don't think I would enjoy that job. The employers where able to go in and do mock missions. The girls and I sat in the command central trailer and watched on the big screen how crappy the drivers where! One even mowed down a civilian!! I learned a ton. I think Dad would have loved seeing how all of it worked.

Graduation

Happy Graduation Maisie!!! She graduated this Tuesday from kindergarten. sigh.... My baby is growing up. She was so cute, they sang cute songs and then there was a whole get your certificate and shake hands thing!!!! Brannon is gone at Annual Training so he couldn't be there so I recorded it for him so I don't have as many pictures as I would have liked. I can not manage both at the same time!!! I tried, nearly dropped my camera and gave myself heart failure! We are so proud of her she keeps telling everyone who will listen she is a first grader now!

Reno!

We went to Reno to visit Grandpa Vern and Grandma Nancy Memorial Day weekend. We had a wonderful time!!! The girls love great grandpa and grandma, and they got spoiled terribly!!! Tons of new toys, clothes and new matching dresses! And the best part lots of love!! We all went to Circus Circus to see some shows and play some games in the Midway, it was lots of fun. I haven't been since I was really little and Brannon had never been. The girls were fascinated by the contortionist and awed by the girls on bikes! We spent lots of hours talking and playing. The girls love their Dog, Libby and their cat, Catmando,(I think that's her name!) We enjoyed ourselves so much and love visiting them!! Reno is about 6.5 hours southwest from us so getting there isn't to bad! We loved our visit and can't wait to go back again!!!

I can't keep this up, and here is why....

I stink at this blogging thing, I do it out of guilt, and I think what I am writing is ridicules! Some things I have been doing lately to keep busy are... Weeding the garden, sewing for Farmers Market and online orders, dry packing hundreds and hundreds of lbs of food, working, and forever trying to get that laundry pile folded! I love my life, I love my life, I love my life!! Fun things, volunteering in Maisies Kindergarten class each week. Teaching Addie new body parts! Going to the park with the girls and getting ice cream cones from the trucks that drive around each day!

We have grass, and a garden!

So the grass is coming in!! YA!! And so are the weeds! Boo! They tell us to leave them alone and when the grass gets a little older to use a spray and kill them then.... I want to go and pull them all out now!! But that will disrupt the grass roots. blah blah. The girls can not wait until it is ok to run and play on the grass. Me too! I also put in a garden this year. It is 22ft by 18ft. and it too is full of weeds, I swear all I do is weed that thing!! We also put in 30 ft of raspberry bushes! They probably won't produce this year, but hopefully next year we will have lots of raspberries!!! It is all helping to keep me very busy!! If I don't get a stinking ton of vegetables I am going to cry!

Carnival!

Maisies school had a fun carnival that we all went to. The girls had their faces painted and they did the cake walk about a dozen times!! It was around 93 degrees outside so we were dying!!

Happy Birthday Addie!

Addie has turned two, and the spirit of naughty 2 year old has taken over!!! Wow that girl can throw a tantrum. In our house you get walked around and ignored, but it sure hurts the ears, occasionally the leg, if she tries to bite me, and it is already getting really old! But she is talking a lot and tries to repeat things all the time. She likes to whisper in your ear and loves to dance around to any music.. Definitely my daughter!!! Hot or Cold with our little Addie. I found timeout in the crib is working, she does not like to be put in there when it isn't time for bed or a nap. So threatening her with a timeout in her crib has started to help with the naughty! We'll see how long it lasts. LOL. Her Birthday was fun, we had a couple of families we do things with come over and have cake and ice cream. Addie gets the opening presents thing!! She loved it and had a great time. She keeps me very busy but I love her and wouldn't want her any other way!

We have trenches... we have seed... no grass yet

Brannon has been busy putting in our backyard this spring. Every day off he has spent moving rock, trenching, putting in the sprinkler system and now it has been seeded. We are just waiting for the grass to grow. Nothing is happening yet!! I have started our garden, spring veg are in and I will be planing the rest this week. We also put in 30 feet of raspberry bushes. I am really wanting them to produce this year!!!!! We have learned that Maisie is really not interested in the whole yard thing, and Addie can't get enough!! Maisie would rather hang out on the trampoline and talk to herself and Addie wants to help with everything!!! I mean everything, watering, digging, planting, you name it!! Loves the dirt, but does want to get clean right away!! We are really excited to finally have a backyard!! the temperatures are supposed to start climbing, up to 90 degrees this weekend!!! Ya, hopefully it won't stay that hot all summer!!! Sorry Tanya I don't know how you do it!!!

Brannon's Birthday

I know I am running about a month behind on this thing, but I am trying. I wanted to get some pictures of Bran's birthday up so all could see just how much he loves his birthday!!! Brannon and I went out for the typical Sushi dinner (his choice, I get Tempura) and then we had strawberry shortcake at home with the girls. He wouldn't even let me put enough candles on!!! Grinch! One of these days I am going to plan an all out surprise party for him and really upset him!!

Wall of Art

For those who have been to our house you have probably noticed in out pantry one wall is covered with artwork from Maisie. In one of her Pre-schools last year was an art school so she came home with stuff every day!! Sometimes 3-4 things a day. The teacher gave us a great idea to display it for a while, then take a picture, to save and scrapbook, then chuck the stuff. Well that plan worked really good until we told Maisie it was time to take things down and chuck. She being the sensitive little soul she is cried her eyes out!! So the stuff stayed for another year!!!!!!!!!!! Finally mom had it and said pick your 4 favorites, and help me take it down. Luckily K-garden, or age has helped her gain perspective about art work, so it went well this time. We took pictures which you see here and we kept a few. Now she thinks we are going to fill it up with new things!! Kids probably right! I get grief from other parents who see it becasue there kids complain that they don't have art walls at home too!! I get a laugh out of that, but tell them at least your laundry room doesn't make you dizzey!

Easter and all it brings!

Well HI, guess I have been a little bit late in getting this all up, but things have been really busy around here! Mom and Dad came for a wonderful visit, I am not sure if they thought so. Poor Dad painted for 2 days and then rotatiled my backyard. Yuck... I think they were ready to head home to their own beds!! We really enjoyed having them, the girls loved it and keep asking when Nana and Papa are coming again to live. Notice live not visit! Unfortunately I didn't take pictures, leave it to me to not!!! I kicked myself about an hour after they left that we had none of everyone together!!! We celebrated Maisie's birthday with cake and presents while they were here, went to Chucky Cheeses and ate very terrible pizza, did a lot of hanging out and just enjoying each other!! We also got our trampoline up so that was super fun!!

Easter was wonderful.... The girls went to a Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Fire Dept. They are wearing there Dallas Cowboy hats a friend online knitted for me! Bran puts them on the girls when ever he can!! Easter morning was quite, just the girls with their baskets then off to church. We went to some friends house for Easter dinner. That was nice, making the whole big dinner for 2 and a half people stinks. The girls are wearing Easter dresses I made, I am really proud of these ones. They took over 20 hours combined to make. Not sure why but they ended up being really hard!! But I love them and they are so cute in them. Every time I needed Addie to try hers on to measure the length or something, we literally had to pry her out of it kicking and screaming!!! She loves wearing that dress!!!! Like Hope she loves skirts and dresses!!

Recapping the last month. Maisie was in the top 5 again for her kindergarten class this semester! Yay!! Brannon turned 34 on April 11Th. And yes he is very sensitive about his age! We have started the backyard sprinkler system! Woot, here comes the a backyard!

Christmas Dresses

These are the dresses I made for the girls for Christmas I just haven't gotten around to taking a decent picture of them until now. So here you go. I think the girls are a little burned out with photo shoots right now! LOL........

The Big Day!

Happy Birthday Maisie!!

Well it is official, My baby is 6 years old. Not sure when that happened. Somewhere in between learning to walk/talk, preschool and swimming lessons I guess. Maisie is really blooming this year in Kgarden and is doing so well. She looks a little older each day. I remember ( I think every mother does this on their child's birthday) when I was in the hospital waiting to have her each new nurse would look at the chart and say " o its your birthday too, how sweet to have a baby on your birthday!" Well, My birthday doesn't really exist anymore, but that is OK. The fun that Maisie has with hers more than makes up for it. She has me tell her every day for months prior to the "BIG" day what holidays proceed her birthday. First Christmas I would say, then New Years, then Valentines day and then your Birthday! Now there is a small line at the end that she says, sometimes, " and your birthday too Mama." She loves it all. Cupcakes to school in the shape of hearts frosted pink, curlers in the hair for the actual day and for the party, Island Princess cake and party, 15 little kids (Maisie has such a big heart she couldn't leave anyone out. Every girl in her class and at church, and every neighbor child was invited, thankfully they all couldn't come!! The only thing that didn't go exactly as she planned was I shot down Hanna Montana and High School musical party's. I just couldn't do it. She is to little for those, next year I said!! We went for Chinese food on our birthday, our family favorite and Dairy Queen ice cream cake after. Are you beginning to see how this gets a little out of hand with both of ours on the same day... If you split them up the birthday takes a week or more, and if you combine then there are a million people in the house and crazy reins. Not fun for me. So enjoy the pictures and thanks to all who called and wished us well with cards. We are loved and we appreciate each of you in our lives!!

Sisters.... Sometimes....

I took some pictures today... interesting.... here are some photos... they tell the story....

The Many Faces!!

I worry some days if I will be able to handle these girls, heck I worry everyday if I will be able to handle these girls. Today after church I took some pictures of them in their new matching dresses I made this week. In 5 minutes I saw about 30 different faces, emotions and reactions from the two of them, that is 30 each, not together!!! Each one is going to require different parenting on my part and I am entirely unprepared for this! So I thought I would share and let you get a good laugh at my worries! And if truth be told my joys, because nothing makes me happier then being the Mommy to these two little angels (part time demons)!
